STUDENT SPACE – Terms and Conditions

Terms of Service

Student Space is a student accommodation search and bookings portal and offers users information about different types of student accommodation options, student savings card, jobs and other recreation services associated with travel and recreation.

  1. Scope of Service

1.1. These terms and conditions are subject to occasional changes and apply to all our services that are directly or indirectly provided (i.e. via third parties) via the internet, on mobile devices, by email or by telephone.

1.2. By using our website, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms and conditions, as well as the privacy policy, including the use of cookies.

  1. Student Accommodation Services and Contract

2.1. On the Student Space website, you have the ability to compare third party services via the Student Space system.

2.2. After the user has gone through the enquiries process on the Student Space site, the booking will be made directly on the student accommodation providers booking site and not on the Student Space sites. Student Space is not the student accommodation provider or the contractual party for the user, but only an agent providing the technical connection to the student accommodation providers booking site of a third party. By making a booking on the website of the third party, users agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of that booking site. These terms and conditions can be viewed on the website of the third party. Once a booking is made on the website of a third party, a contract is concluded between the booking site and the user, and therefore no contract is concluded between the user and Student Space. Student Space is not a contractual party to the student accommodation providers booking and all and any claims of the user under the student accommodation reservation are to be asserted against the third party (the student accommodation providers booking site) and not against Student Space.

2.3. This agreement is not affected by any other agreements between the student accommodation provider and users.

  1. Student Space Savings Card Member

3.1. Once the user has booked their accommodation directly on the student accommodation providers bookings site, the user becomes a member of the Student Space Savings Card (hereafter “Savings Card”) creating a member number. Users are then automatically entitled to actively participate in Student Space other development initiatives (like student jobs, travel and the like)

3.2. Users that do not book their student accommodation via Student Space may purchase a Savings Card via the Student Space website and pay an annual fee of $29 in it’s first year in order to receive the benefits. The user will be bound by the terms and conditions. No personal information is made visible.

3.3. The Savings Card is powered by a third party aggregator and the user will be bound by the terms and conditions of the third party aggregator. A user cannot register multiple times. No personal information is made visible on the websites

  1. Privacy, Email Advertisements

4.1. The protection of personal data provided by the user is of the highest priority for Student Space. As such, Student Space makes every effort to ensure compliance with data protection. For more information, please read our privacy policy.

4.2. Student Space collects, processes and uses your personal data that leads the user to booking their student accommodation on a third party bookings website.

4.3. Student Space will only raise, process and use data necessary for the provision of the services rendered for the Student Savings Card, apps and other benefits the services offered. The user expressly agrees to the processing of his/her credit card data by Student Space which only relates to the purchase of the Savings Card.

4.4. The user agrees to receive periodic product information about future Student Savings Card benefits or services.
